Parrot Talk - Part 2

Recently, I could clearly address mommy and grandma appropriately. Mommy felt the most satisfied :-]

Passing my Check-Up

Went back to Prof. Yeung for my regular post-surgery follow-up. Ultrasound revealed everything looked good, so Doc recommended that we could visit him less frequent, say making it yearly, from now on. Hurray!!! Btw, he commented that I've grown a lot since we last met half year ago. Of course, I eat like a horse every day, Doc~

On the way home, again, I walked myself the entire journey, as mommy apparently looked tired after a day of hard work. She also showed me an interesting coffee vending machine and scary Halloween decorations in the neighborhood '_'

Kyra's Funny Looks

Recently, Kyra has been making funny faces to entertain us. The best presented demonstrations were piggy faces and '8'-shaped lips. Ta-da!

Soft Body

Seeing Kyra do these backward arches, Daddy was relieved. He himself has really weak body flexibility, but Mommy could always stretch to the fullest. Good that little sis didn't pick up the genes from him :-p

Upper Teeth

Kyra's upper teeth have poked out to say hello, even earlier than me in babyhood last year! Due to the itchy gums, she's putting everything handy in her mouth lately~

Last Day of Long Weekend

The Chinese wisdom has it that after the Mid-Autumn Festival, weather would turn considerably cooler. Mommy & Daddy thus took us to the pool for probably the last time this year. On the other hand, it was officially the first time that Kyra was dipped in a pool. To our surprise, she adapted so well and loved it so much that she fell asleep floating in the water in no time zzZzZZZ

Uncle Chin Poi was in town visiting grannies during his Golden Week holiday. We had a truly enjoyable nite in grannies' place. He cooked us some traditional Malay cuisine as well as Shanghainese cold plates. Thanks Yee-Jiong~

Celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival

Today's another public holiday, for being the Lantern (Mid-Autumn) Festival, yay! We went out as the 'Pink Panthers' ^ ^ Had an enjoyable evening with paternal grannies and family. Mommy couldn't help laughing seeing me being a miniature figure of daddy~

Day Off

Daddy & Mommy took today off for another Ophthalmology consultation. The four of us are united as one; we'll always be by Kyra's side no matter what!

After the doc visit, we went to where mommy worked to get Kyra's passport. The afternoon was spent in Tung Chung relaxingly~ Recently, I've been doing most of the walking myself; mommy always reiterated that's what legs are intended for. However, it seems that the more active I get, the skinnier I become...

Lanterns

In the midst of heavy rain, mommy still went to toy shops to get us lanterns in preparation for the coming Mid-Autumn Festival. The train was for me whereas the bunny was for Kyra. The squarish one at the back was given to us by the housing estate, thoughtful~ Mommy said the management fee this month was finally more worth it :-D

Kyra's Check-up

After today's check-up at the Eye Hospital, Docs have fixed a surgery date, being late next month, to treat Kyra's problems, by the minimally invasive approach. However, they reminded it'll only be the first step of a long journey...

The 'Hot' Chef

After reaching home, mommy was surprised to find that my temperature was high again, nightmare of our family, aiya... Despite the high temperature, I insisted to station in my 'Kyle's Kitchen' preparing for some cuisine :-p

N.B. Paedi opined it's URTI, nothing to do with urine infection this time, phew~~

On Our Own

Ani jie-jie, our caretaker, was on whole day holiday today. As a result, Mom & Dad had to come up with enough agenda items to keep us busy. After my gym class in the morning, we spent most of the time on HK island. On the way back home on MTR in the evening, my energy level reached almost the lowest!

Nose Bleed...

Out of unknown cause, my nose has been bleeding for 4 times this past week! This has worried mommy quite a lot, as weather is not dry at all. Tonite, my nose bled again after I fell asleep. The blood was all over my pacifier too; yet, I didn't cry over the uneasiness.

Nite Out with Little Buddies

Constant was in town with her parents for a brief stay. Daddy thus called for a get-together such that I can meet up with some good pals. Kids grow amazingly fast. It's only been a month or two since we last met, yet I noticed that Constant now has a lot of his own ideas, Katie is really conversant and Bernice is slimmer than before. As for me, I'm still good at catching people's attention, for instance, by a sudden backward arch in front of the camera :-p Btw, Kyra has reached 5 months today, big girl!

Self Spinning

No matter how many circles I've spun, I can always go further still! Somehow I just enjoy the feeling of dizziness :-p

Joining Hands

Whilst MahMah comes around 3 days of a week babysitting me & Kyra, YehYeh usually drops by once a week. Whenever he comes, we'll join hands heading to some of my favorite neighboring spots, such as the outdoor playground and Toys'R'us ;-]

Cookery Toys

This set of cookery toys Mommy got me during her lunch break finally kept me still from running around! She didn't imagine I would be so into 'making stuff'. Will I be able to cook as good as Chef Daddy one day?

Kindergarten Visit

Mommy went to a seminar held by a Kindergarten in the neighborhood this afternoon, followed by their campus tour. It looks like a wonderful school with loving teachers. It's just too bad that they don't have nursery classes available...

Circling

When Daddy's around, I enjoy climbing up on him much and sitting on his shoulders. But Mommy wouldn't play that game with me, opining it'll easily hurt my arms or joints, as Daddy now only grabs my little hands and let me do the entire walking/climbing myself. So, with her, I figured I could only have some fun circling around her legs~

Toys Library

Intending to raise my interest for reading, Daddy took me to the big Library in HK Island. Inside, there's a wonderful Toys Library which was just perfect for kids like me :-) In fact, we've been waiting for several weeks in order to get a seat!

Bye Bye our DC!

Daddy, you're in huge trouble, I tell ya! He broke our handy DC which Mommy used ALL the time; and it's his 2nd time in just one year! He fed our last DC with cough syrup... Anyways, attempts were made to resuscitate this poor thing, but it was sadly pronounced dead upon reaching the Canon repair centre :..( Mommy was most sad as it had juuuust passed its warranty period, man!

Below is the last picture taken by this nicely performed device:

Btw, class today was fun, as expected ^ ^

Unanswered

This is a million-dollar-question that remains unanswered till present:
How I can still possibly fit into Kyra's beloved carrier, with NO adjustments needed whatsoever!

Quiet Games

Mommy got me this set of colorful stackling toys some time ago at the Baby Fair, in the hope that her 'mad dog' would eventually sit still and quietly play. Its objective was basically achieved, but I treat'em more like bowls :-)

Another thing, she was rather amazed, if not sad, that my skeleton outfit still fits perfectly fine this year, meaning that I didn't grow much during the past year?!

Apple

Since I started on half-solid foods more than a year ago, I've loved fruits a lot. Most of the time, I was given bananas and apple, the latter being in mashed form. In recent months, they would give me the whole thing so that I get to do more biting and chewing work. Mommy was really grateful that I'm fond of fruits and veges, having a balanced diet.

Water

Wather is still hot, so water is just great quenching my thirst. In a typical day, I drink around 3 or 4 bottles of water. Mommy said she couldn't drink that much herself :-p

Eye Patching

Heard from Mom & Dad that Kyra had some issues with her eyes... For the time being, she needs to patch both of her eyes alternately to train them up, pending further procedures when she reaches 6 months of age.

Surprise Visit

YeeMa and my cousins stopped by Hong Kong for a quick visit on their way to Shanghai. We had great fun playing for a whole day :-]

YeeMa, thank you again for the goodies you got us, esp. the matching books. They are just lovely!
