Pot Dish Party

After more than a decade, Daddy still contributes much to the alumni of Queen's College, his secondary school. Today's Pot Dish Party was one of the events he put together.

It was an interesting event for families like us. Apart from food, there was also magic show and an exciting lion dance! I had a little reservation over the huge animal, but little Kyra was totally happy playing with it.

Interview with a Nearby School

I had yet another interview afterwards. Mom & Dad applied for it as it's so close to our new home, within a few minutes' walking distance. It's a pleasant surprise that all classrooms were decorated really beautifully, teachers were super loving and friendly, and there's a huge indoor playroom. The best thing is that they offer full-day classes, enabling me to brush up on my discipline and independence, and our caretaker to place closer attention to Kyra's needs at the same time as she grows. Tuition fees are a super good deal as well :-p The only drawback is that they wouldn't have Native English Teachers. Mommy said it's all right, as Minna yeeyee and herself didn't learn much English from kindergarten either~!

Having fun in the outdoor playground before we left.

P.S.: Acceptance letter was received from the school the following week ^ ^ It's been my 5th offer into pre-nursery classes and most likely my future school. We all think teachers there would love me and teach me good values with all their heart.

Last Class

Kyra's classes have concluded today. I joined her class and met her classmates. Even though her instructer commented that Kyra was progressing relatively slow as a second child of the family, mommy knew very well that Kyra would do just fine, and that it's too unfair to set a higher standard for her just because she has an elder sibling. We would definitely support little Kyra forever.

10 months old Kyra

Kyra grows day by day. Her mobility has improved a lot enabling her to crawl here and there as she wishes. She's also a more happy child than some months ago. This happy face of her melts mommy's heart:

Daddy's outta town on business. Mommy therefore arranged (as always) for Kyra's celebration ritual. The snack choice for this month was colorful macaroons. Btw, her cheek has been mysteriously bruised for a whole week, not even my caretaker could answer :-\

Tiny Waist

Although I've been eating numerous meals together with soup and several fruits and countless biscuits a day, I've become skinnier and skinnier somehow, probably due to the increasing amount of physical activities. Daddy was stunned that he could actually circle my tiny waist with his fingers! Mommy was saddened that I got this needle thin, but it's okay mom, every child goes through this stage~

Kyra, on the other hand, does a great job in maintaining her big tummy, look for yourself! Well, she's now eating 1.5 to 2 bowls of rice per meal, two times a day. That's why daddy has ordered that she goes on diet, before her stomach complains about the hard work.

Enjoyable Afternoon Tea

Today at the regular medical consultation, doctors viewed that Kyra has considerably improved, esp when she has her glasses on (which is still a huge challenge to keep'em on though). To celebrate this, daddy and mommy went for a relaxing afternoon tea. Kyra herself decided to go sleep, so didn't join us.

This is a place much liked by mommy, with nice settings and good view overlooking the ice rink. Their last visit was in the afternoon right after Kyra's surgery 4 months ago, celebrating the encouraging results.

Furry Gifts from GongGong PorPor

GongGong & PorPor also went for a short pleasure trip to the mainland during the past CNY holidays. They brought back these furry gifts for us:

There was also this lovely white tiger with its little baby~

Meds Parade

Subsequent to my sudden fever during the recent outta town family trip, Kyra started to have a temperature also. Below is the parade of our medicines:

On Her Feet

Kyra keeps progressing. Recently, she has figured out how to get up and stand on her feet, and how to get down on the floor again when tired. Well done, little sis! We're sure that very soon, she would not need to hold on to anything for this task~

Family Trip to China

Grannies asked for a family vacation, so off we went! Daddy made all the thoughtful logistics arrangements, including our ferry tickets, the neat and tidy vehicle with local driver, lodging, programmes... Mommy on the other hand got us 'tour uniform' (Chinese-style outfits / scarves).

The freezing cold weather and constant showers didn't turn us away. It was a memorable family trip, esp that I suffered from high temperature all of a sudden midway through the trip. Lucky that we had uncle and aunt (being paramedics) with us. I wouldn't have made it without their handy medicines, thanks again!

Daddy and mommy has always reminded me not to be picky about food. I've been good most of the time, but this has truly passed my tolerance level:

It's New Year!

Today is Valentine's Day, cum the arrival of the Year of the Ox. A day special like this inevitably needs to be spent with family. We spent the afternoon with paternal grannies in the mall near their place. The glittery carousel and the great big tiger were just spectacular!

The night was then spent with our maternal grannies~

Back to Turkey

Four years ago, before they were married, mommy & daddy had an unforgettable trip exploring Turkey:

Four years later, mommy found a shop selling Turkish Delights in HK. It was opened by a HK lady and her Turkish hubby. The candies and the coffee reminded mommy & daddy of the memorable trip :-D
